There is no issue with magnets sliding because of the magnets themselves, rather there is an issue with the fridge having only a thin layer of metal all over it. There may be situations where the magnet cannot generate a strong enough magnetic attraction so gravity pulls the hook downward and it slides. When buying a refrigerator, it's impossible to know in advance whether this will or will not happen as most refrigerators have different thicknesses Nonetheless, we have a lot of customers who are using them successfully on their refrigerators.
