Unless I understand you correctly, there is no way these magnets will work through wood. Metals do not hold a candle to them. For my upright freezer, I place them on the side of the unit. They would be much better if you could add a metal strip on the wood since they have the sliding Here is what I hope will help.

It is possible to remove the hooks. Neither the magnet nor its external piece has been removed by me. Despite this, the hole goes all the way to the bottom of the hole.

In a nutshell, As such, these do not hold as much as the manufacturer claims. They hold 36 pounds at the top before slipping off, and about 8 pounds in the middle before the magnet pops off. With the magnet sliding it will for sure scratch the heck out of a painted service. Having said that, I knew that their ratings would not be up to what they claim and bought stronger ones than I needed for my task of holding pans in the kitchen and holding bikes Take a look at my video as I test out my magnet hooks. Having bought a second set of these magnetic hooks from a different seller (from a different seller), I am familiar with them. They are easy to use, versatile, strong for their small size (1/2" diameter), and can hold up lightweight curtains and rods on metal In order to address some negative reviews that occurred when the hooks didn't work as expected, I am copying and pasting my first review below. It is generally understood that a magnet's PULL STRENGTH measures (in kilograms or pounds) the amount of vertical force required to PULL the magnet away from the metal surface it is attached Then, applying that to these magnetic hooks, it would mean that each one can hold about 22 lbs/10 kg before it will PULL AWAY from the ceiling when it is stuck to a metal ceiling. (If all other factors are perfect. )
Same magnetic hook, use a wall made from the exact same material as the ceiling, and it will slide down the wall much easier than pull away In fact, this is what it is called the PARALLEL HOLD or SHEAR FORCE of the magnet, and it is nowhere near as strong As a result, 2 magnets kept together by a strong glue are more likely to separate if you slide them apart than if you pull them apart. * Manufacturers refer to "PULL STRENGTH" when they specify Depending on the conditions under which a magnet is tested, the pull strength is determined by the most weight that can be held by the magnet. Magnets possess a PULL STRENGTH that can be reasonably estimated at 10% to 25% of their PARALLEL HOLD/SHEAR FORCE. Therefore, we'll assume a PARALLEL HOLD of 15% for these 22 lbs magnetic hooks. (22 lbs The weight of three pounds). Therefore, for each hook (if used on a metal WALL or DOOR) we can expect it to hold approximately 3 1/2 to 4 pounds of weight before it slides down the wall. This is less than what it should be able to handle on a ceiling, where it should be able to support 22 lbs. In addition to the orientation of a magnet, there are other factors that can affect its performance and weaken its strength, including **The magnet's material (alloy, ceramic, etal) and its condition (chipped, cracked, scratched, etc? ), its size & the quality of the magnet all need to be provided. Describe the form. Does the magnet have a "cupped" end (Cuped=placed into a steel cup or holder, such as Due to the cup's shape, it concentrates the magnet's pull in one direction [the open end of the cup], making it more effective for keeping things in place. ***How about the metal surface the magnet sticks to? ***(dropping magnet=not good)
**How about the metal surface it sticks to? Does it matter how thick the metal is? Its metal type, what are its components? (Thick=Better), What is its thickness? The metal should be BARE and CLEAN, so is it coated, painted, dirty, greasy, or rusted? If it is perfectly FLAT could it be curved or uneven, if it is perfectly SMOOTHER could it be textured, bumpy, rough, dented, chipped or distorted? The 100 % Full & Complete category applies to ANYTHING that interferes with it The magnet's power/strength is diminished when it comes into direct contact with a metal. In addition, we should also pay attention to the surrounding conditions Is moisture present in the air? Are there any unusual conditions in the air such as high humidity and low temperature? Can you tell me what the surface temperature of the magnet is? In addition to this, there are many other benefits. My favorite subject in science is magnets and magnetism because it is fascinating but it is also technical and complicated enough to blow MY head right out of the It turns out that the BASIC concept of PULL STRENGTH as it relates to PARALLEL HOLD is likely to be the most useful (and easiest to remember) when you decide on which household, craft, hobby, or shop magnet is right for your needs.
I really like these. In other words, they do what they advertise and they do it It is important to keep in mind that if you intend to use these on a refrigerator or other stamped metal that the magnet strength They can hold about half a pound of weight on a steel storage cabinet door when using them to hold hats. Also keep in mind if you use this on a vertical surface that they will slide and walk Even though this is common, you may need a stronger set if you plan to use these on thin stamped metal.
A couple of new patio lights were delivered, but I had no idea how to attach them to a carport. It is heavy for light to be this Magnets with hooks were found at a local store. It's all taken care of now. The underside of my carport is the perfect place for them.
Along with the Strong Magnetic "Clips", these Strong Magnetic "Hooks" are a new item that one can use in the cabin to avoid taking up space and to keep things together. Prior to this, I had not understood that the predominant material that composes the walls in a ship cabin is metal covered with a passenger facing material. For most of us who do not stay in Suites, cabin closet space, bathroom space, or desk space is limited. These Cabin wall hooks provide convenience and organizational space Strong enough to hold clothes, hats, beach bags, shopping bags, cameras, binoculars or whatever else you wish to hang up. A magnetic clip is also a convenient way to increase visibility & reduce clutter. By creating a wall with an "at a glance"trip, you can declutter An expanded "desk" which includes ship guides and other useful materials The magnet can hold things like daily agendas, excursion receipts/tickets, etc. The only caveat is that not all cabin walls are metal (though there were 4 convenient sections in our Cabin), and keep items away that could be affected by strong magnetism.
There was a calendar on my fridge, but it just fell off. I am really happy with the hook I bought. Despite being placed on the refrigerator and on the calendar, it has not moved since I put it on.
It says it can hold 60 lbs, but to be honest, I was pretty skeptical about it. I wanted something to hang plants from on a metal cabana I had. Is it possible to hold plants with so small a magnet? According to what I am told, they do not look flimsy at all as I thought they might. Magnets grab metal firmly when they come close to it, so I grabbed the magnet close to the metal. Besides being very sturdy, the hook also seems to be very well built. This was my first attempt to hang a plant, and it worked beautifully. The rest of the cloth hung on the wall, and I waited for a nice breeze to see if it would dry. There is nothing! I had no problems with the magnet or hook holding, and even with the plants swaying gently in the wind, neither did the wind affect it at all. A shade cloth around the cabana will be held up with these because we bought more. I find this to be my new favorite.
