For my refrigerator, I bought this so that I could hang a calendar on it. I did not have any other magnets to fit the calander because the standard "chip clip" type magnets would not work. These work great!.

My surprise was great. This is a pot holder, so I expected it to be of low quality. It was not a big deal for me. It turned out that they were sooner than expected. A sturdy, heavy calendar was held in this way on the side of my refrigerator. I have been using it for that function without any problems for some time now. My only criticism is that I think the hook is a bit thick.
