It is possible to hold up to 60 pounds on each magnetic hook. Using the device horizontally will reduce its capacity by 1/3. The 60-pound capacity is based on vertical usage.
The only thing you will need is a magnetic surface to attach these to. There is no need to drill into your fixtures or have to use tools. It would be great to use magnetic hooks in any small space, since they are easily removed. These are built from high quality steel and neodymium, they are sturdy and dependable, and they have a polished nickel finish that prevents rust.
Magnetic hooks are very strong, so you must put a tissue or something else between them and the stainless steel surface so the magnet will not scratch. If you plan to use them with a stainless steel refrigerator, you must put a tissue between them and the surface to protect it from scratches.

When I was estimating how much weight they can hold, I neglected to look at the weight capacity. The magnets were strong and the curve of the hook was perfect. Another set is on my shopping list.

I have a SUPER STRONG grip. It's best to put the magnets exactly where you intend, since the magnets have such a strong pull. A couple of hubby's buttons got stuck together, and he had to use pliers to separate them.

I intended to use these to hang small baskets on the side of my fridge, but even 2 of them weren't strong enough. Sorry to hear that. It may be better suited for a different purpose.

Using these magnets to help hang decorations on a metal door is a great idea! Unlike other magnetic devices, magnets remain in the exact place you place them. Neither of them move nor fall off when the door is opened or closed.
