Questions & Answers

Is it true that each of the eight can support 80 pounds, or that they can all support 80 pounds?

They claim 80 lbs of vert. strength (hanging) per hook and 24 lbs to pull one off, though they haven't confirmed it. They are, in any case, extremely powerful.

Two photographs appear to contradict each other. Are the hooks swivel or do they screw into the magnet base?

The hooks screw into the magnet base, and you can tighten them by hand; however, be careful with your hands; the magnets are powerful, and if they slap against each other, they can seriously damage your fingers.

What is the size of the 80lb's tread?

It's a metric thread, I believe. 10- The number 32 isn't going to fit.

Do they rust when used outside, such as on a grill? Tia, do you think it'll rust the grill?

The magnet itself should not rust, but the hooks may rust if exposed to heat or the elements outside. I keep mine inside and they never rust. yet. So far, I believe I've had them for a few months.

80 pound capacity is not available

This item was purchased to hang items on a metal wall; the first thing we hung was a 48-inch metal straight edge, which most likely did not weigh 4 pounds. We attempted to hang a second one, but it slid down the wall with just the bump of putting it on the hook. With an 80-pound capacity, this is a great option. It wasn't supposed to move in the first place. I'm not sure I'd buy it again, and I'm thinking about returning it.
