I believe that if the magnet is attached beneath a horizontal metal surface, it will most likely hold 40s. In other words, your load is parallel to the flat surface of the magnet. If it's mounted on a vertical metal surface, such as a wall, With a much lighter load, the face of a refrigerator tends to slide down. In this case, your load is perpendicular to the flat surface of the magnet.
Yes. Very powerful! I work on a metal table and use these to hold the papers I'm working on in place. I can stack up to 10 sheets on top of each other and they all stay put. To make it easier to pick up, I poked a pencil through the circle on top.
The short answer is no, with the exception of a pinky, which you will break. br>A screwdriver will be required. They have a lot of strength. Using a very small screw (provided), attach the eye handle to the base. br>They irritate us.

The set screw that connects the eyelet to the magnet easily comes loose. Put a dab of thread locker on them as you're putting them together, and they'll last a lifetime.
For my medium (4oz) magnetic spice jars, these were the perfect strength magnets. I didn't even attach the screws and eyelets because they were in a bag. I simply inserted the flat cup magnets into the steel jar lid and called it a day. There's no need for any glue or other materials, and it's very simple to do. For the larger 9 oz jars in the photo, I had to use the 90 lbs cup magnets.
With one exception, these have a better balance than the 22 lb rated ones I purchased. However, these require a screw on the attached/magnet side and an eyelet on the opposite side to attach the eyelet; I prefer the threaded magnet base of the hook style, which only has two pieces/parts, not three. The HOOK can be removed, and the magnet can be left on the surface without the hook protruding. The eyelet on this EYELET design cannot be removed, unlike the hook design. Nonetheless, it's a pleasant experience overall. This would have been a welcome design on its own; magnetic base with threaded threads.
During the hot summer, I was looking for magnets to hang survival blankets on the outside of my RV. The space blankets were worn by the majority because they were either too weak or too strong. When the round attachments are screwed onto these magnets, they are PERFECT because I can easily remove them by tipping the magnets. I just bought three more packs to ensure that I never run out.
These magnets are fantastic, and we use them for a variety of purposes. I ordered them because I was tired of wimpy magnets failing to keep things on the fridge, but I now use them all over the house. We keep them on the fridge to hold heavier items such as multiple cards and photos. They serve as utensil holders in the kitchen - with a magnetic side that connects to our range hood, as well as s hooks for utensils We use heavy metal spatulas, which work perfectly. We used one to get a screw out of the garbage disposal that had become stuck. In our camper van, we use them to secure organizer pockets and hang curtain lines. They're fantastic, and they're extremely practical. I placed a second order for more. So far, everything has been of good quality and has lasted a long time. I ordered four packs, and one part was machined incorrectly in each, but there was a spare in the pack, so it wasn't a big deal.
I hung my outside Christmas lights with these hooks (rated for 40 pounds). They were stuck on the underside of gutters with tie wraps to keep the strand in place. They were spaced about every 3 feet. It worked well for icicle-style lights that didn't require a lot of tightness or straightness.
These magnets are great for hanging decorations in my office because the cubicles are cloth covered metal panels, so the best solution for holidays and small personal items is to use these magnets. We've used them for Christmas decorations (wreaths, garland, banners, etc. ) without damaging the panels or leaving any visible marks. Be aware that these magnets are quite powerful, and pulling them loose from bare metal will take some effort. br>These magnets come highly recommended by me for use in the home, office, or store.
They are strong and will require assembly. These are ideal if you need to carry something heavy, such as 10 pounds.
