Is it still possible to get a hold of Key Southco 5?

This is, in fact, possible.

A key similar to yours exists in my possession. The inside of the barrel bears a 4 on it. The keys I got are too big and have a 5 on them. What is the correct number for the 4?

I was given an E 3-key.

Is this a master key, or is it just a regular key?

There is no master key because they are all keyed the same.

We've got a spare now, which is great! For our motorhome, we attempted to obtain a duplicate of this key

One was included in the package. A spare was something we were looking for. The locksmith was kind enough to tell us that we could get it for less money here. Furthermore, if he ordered it, he would have to buy it in a quantity of at least ten, and there isn't much demand for this. We now have the peace of mind that comes with having a backup!.
