It is a mat that is 3 inches thick

Does the mat have to have a hole of a certain size?

A styrofoam spacer is included in the tether kit, so I used a black marker to trace the circle on the inside of the spacer to figure out the exact size of the hole to cut with a utility knife. It works great!
