Concrete is not a good surface for magnetic hooks to stick to.
My classroom has three metal walls (it's an older school) and each wall has been painted several times, but these magnets are strong and do the job.
Perhaps a wiss broom.

I had previously purchased magnetic hooks from Walmart and found them to be very useful in the home and kitchen. I had no issues using them to hang up mugs, tools, and other items, but when they ran out at the local store, I decided to look for alternatives online, and this pack offered more hooks at a lower price, so I bought it. These magnets are significantly more powerful than the previous ones. The Walmart ones' packaging was very generic, so I'm not sure what material they're made of. My husband and I, on the other hand, made a direct comparison by putting one magnet and one hook on each side of a metal plate. It was the Walmart magnet that came away first, indicating that it is weaker than these neodymium magnets. br>I like the petite base because it allows for a smaller footprint in addition to being a stronger magnet. The hook itself is quite small, which is my only complaint. A carabiner that fits perfectly on the Walmart hook is too large for the hooks in this set, as you can see from my photos. However, it would still hold the object in place and hasn't caused any problems thus far. I'm not sure if larger hooks can be purchased to screw into the existing magnets, but it's nice that the hooks aren't permanently attached to the magnets like the Walmart ones are. Another question is whether or not I want to expend the time and money to find larger replacement hooks. I just wanted to share my experience in the hopes that it might be useful to another buyer.
Because I don't have enough display space in my classroom and punching holes in the magnetic boards isn't an option, I rely on these magnets to keep charts in place. The first image shows eight laminated charts (roughly legal size) being held. The second depicts four poster-sized images. sized charts (the bottom pushpin magnets are only there to keep the charts from folding). ) I punched holes in the tops of the charts so that I can keep them together and change them easily while teaching. I had no idea these tiny marvels could be so useful!.
These hooks can't handle anything close to 22 pounds. br>I carefully followed the instructions. They claim that if they are hung horizontally, such as from a ceiling, they will be able to support the weight. I tried to hang a 4 pound outdoor wind chime, but it wouldn't even come close! br>I'm not sure where they got the figure 22 from; the instructions state that the hook will not hold more than 3 lbs vertically, only horizontally, but it doesn't. This is not the way these hooks should be advertised. They're fine for hanging small items, but claiming that they're strong is a complete fabrication.
Definitely worth the money, and if I needed that many, I would buy more!.
I first tried a 3 pound weight with only one hook, and it slid right away. After that, I tried using two hooks for the 3 pound weight, but it still slid down. Then I tried a small bag containing a couple of bottles of suntan lotion that weighed 1 pound 15 ounces. I only used one hook, and it slid down the wall. Then I tried it with two hooks, and it worked perfectly. So you'll need two hooks if you're going to use them for anything heavier than 1 pound. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this outcome. Fortunately, my cruise isn't for another ten days, so I'll have plenty of time to find better hooks.
These magnets have a lot of force behind them! I've hung them on the refrigerator to store my most frequently used spoons and spatula. I have a few left over, but I realized I can put one on the ceiling of my storm safe room (I live in Moore, OK) and it will hold the lantern style flash light and who knows what else I haven't thought of yet! OH! And I can use this magnet to ensure that the curious cat doesn't lose any pins while playing with my red pin cushion - I'm thinking of spraying it with something repulsive so he won't touch it! And I keep it in a plastic box with a latch! br>br>Oh, and don't be surprised if you have to screw the hook into the magnet when you get them.
AMAZING! We use them to hang birthday decorations in our coworkers' offices from the grid ceilings! We were tired of staying up late to decorate for our coworkers only to wake up the next morning to find half of our hard work on the floor because the tape had come loose over night! These have sped up the process and provided us with more choices! A couple have taken up permanent residence in offices, where they are used to hang things from the ceiling. These hooks, for example, are strong enough to hold a small grow light above a plant on a shelf in my office, and I still recommend them!.
Because they are all metal and the magnets stick very well, they are ideal for hanging things up on doors or ceilings while on a cruise!.
