What kind of steel is in the stud? Do you know what the material is if not?

In the order I received, the rubber foot stud consisted of one piece, and the stud was also rubberized. I still regret my purchase since the stud is too low-quality for my application and threads just fine, but the stud is flexible and not strong enough for my application.

Could these be used as stovetop feet for range grate feet?

That would be a lot of heat for them. With this method, I used a heated knife blade to trim and shape the stud end to fit This melts at a relatively low temperature.

This would be great as a bug shield for a plexiglass motorhome

The rubber bumper pads I was looking for to replace the bug shield on my motorhome were not available anywhere. As a result, I took measurements from my old ones to compare. Amazon has pretty much everything, so I guess that's true.
