Cabinet doors slamming shut in the kitchen. The Rok Hardware Soft Close Dampers, which cost $50 for a set of 25, were used and recommended by our friends. After doing some research and discovering that you'll need to drill into your cabinets (at an angle! ), you'll be ready to get started. ) and screw the dampers in place (after spending a lot of money on them), I looked for cheaper and easier alternatives on Amazon. Presto! The Scotch Self-Assessment Bumpons with Adhesive Backing! We were able to get a large number of them for around $12. After opening the Amazon package, it took me less than five minutes. a kitchen with no noise! There's no need to be concerned about installation mistakes splitting the cabinet wood. Let me tell you, I'm very pleased!.
Previously, I tried some clear soft plastic button bumpers, but they softened and stuck to the door/drawer front itself due to a reaction between the plastic and cabinet finish; To get the cabinet door to open, I had to yank it open with my bare hands. br>br>These 3M bumpers don't have that issue, and they're more cushioned (quieter) as well. br>br>PROSbr>High cushion level (quiet, doesn't bang when cabinet door closes)br>Does not chemically react with cabinet/drawer front finishbr>br>CONSbr>None observed.
These are without a doubt the best cabinet door/drawer bumpers I've ever used. They appear to be a little more expensive than others, but they last a long time and are well worth the money! Overall, I prefer them to the transparent rubber stoppers! When I run out, I'll get some more.
As a stand-in, these were excellent. I even used them to keep marks off my walls by putting them on the back of a mirror and a few pictures. I'm sure I'll find more uses for them as time goes on, and they're very simple to work with.
They began to fall off after about a month on my cabinet doors. I paid the extra money in the hopes that these 3 million would be better. I'm not impressed, and I'm considering switching to a different brand.
These are much better than the clear ones, which dissolve over time and the cheaper similar style form bumpers, which get mashed flat. Yes, these are more expensive, but they are well worth it.
At the new location, I replaced some missing bumpers, which worked well and were simple to install.
The Bumpers did an excellent job of dampening the noise from our oak cabinet doors. There would be a crash every time one of our doors closed, especially if it was the kids who did it. boom. These bumpers are much quieter than the "silicone dot" bumpers and solved the problem.
