Questions & Answers

Is there a possibility that these might ?

I have had them mounted on my garage wall for over a year, and there has been no rust. Powder coating is enough to protect them, so they will look great. While I would not subject them to the weather, I wouldn't leave them outside.

It is recommended that 1/2 inch screws be used for this project. Could you please tell me the correct size of screws to purchase? I assume I need 3/8 inch screws. ?

The best thing to do is to take the bracket with you to the hardware store and check it out. In the time since I bought them and in the store where I installed them, the store has completely been renovated. With bumper pads along window jambs, I used them to cushion the shelf against brackets when hanging glass shelves across them. It is my hope that this information will be helpful to you.

What’s the best way to attach these to Are you able to use them as an angle bracket for a stairwell?

I doubt they could take the stairs as they are too small. To support the glass shelves in the window frames, I used them. It would be best if you inlaid the traditional trim into your stringer and then used decorative trim if you so desired. Another option would be to cut the angle iron to length and paint it, at least 1/4 inch thick. They can be dressed up very nicely if you put a little work into it, depending on your end product and the look you want. I wish you all the best
