In the past week, I lost the lid to my 16 oz tumbler and this is the This lid is only intended for 16oz Tervis TUMBLERS (tall, no handle) if you have a 16oz Tervis MUG (stout, with handle) this lid will not work correctly.

The item can be returned, but at the cost of the customer. As far as I remember, I didn't see anything indicating that I couldn't return it when I ordered it. I hate it when that happens.

I'm not sure if you can return it to Amazon since it doesn't fit. Having my father with Parkinson's Disease, I got the mug and lid for him in an effort to prevent him from spilling over In buying this mug, I was attracted to the fact that it had a lid and resembled a regular coffee mug more Amazon has not satisfied me in more than a decade - this is the first time I have ever felt that way items that do not fit together and not allowing you to return them.

This lid is made for a Tervis Dolphin cup measuring 16 ounces. However, there isn't much else noteworthy about it, other than that it's a great complementary color. It's the only downside to all Tervis lids that the lid slider for the straw hole sticks out. A slider thing that prevents accidents from happening. While it's not hard to remove, plastic can only take a certain amount of pressure before the guides for the slider and the lid itself begin to wear out over time. Even though I have had dozens of these for over a year, I have not had one break on me yet, but I am sure I will next time. The biggest downside to any Tervis lid is that.

There is only one size of tumbler that fits this. This item is described as not fitting the mug at NO point in the description. In talking to Tervis, I found out that you need to get a lid for the 16 oz mug that fits the 24 oz lid. The description is inadequate DON'T BE FOOLED BY.

I replaced the old lid with the new one once the new one arrived. While I was taking a drink from my Tervis, the water flowed slowly. As I was trying to fix this, I noticed that the water did not flow easily. In the beginning, I thought the opening had been blocked by ice. ? I tried water without ice, but I still experienced the same problems When it came to the old lid, it never happened. As I looked closer at the new lid, I saw that there was a breather hole right where my nose met the lid when I took a drink. My nose obstructed the breather hole, blocking the distribution of the pressure inside the Tervis (creating There were times when that didn't My instinct would be to take a drink with my nose on the lid and then to realize I'd cut off the water flow and move my nose away at which point a deluge of water would pour out. In general, I really like the new lid because it makes my Tervis seem much more solidly sealed than the previous lid, and the closing flap seems a bit more durable. I might have just a fluke in terms of my face anatomy. It was only a matter of drilling a small hole a little higher in the lid so my nose would not interfere with it. Below you will find photos. Everything is working great now. The lid eliminated the need to wear a wet shirt and face. Overall I think that this is a VERY good lid that will last forever.
