We recently updated our Corelle set to give it a more modern appearance. We had the original set for 38 years and didn't have any complaints. It's safe to use in the dishwasher and microwave, as well as being chip and stain resistant.

" I was hesitant to switch from ceramic to Corelle dinnerware because, while I liked the solid feel of ceramic, I was tired of the dishwasher chipping and the occasional oops of something falling into the sink, on a ceramic plate that was no longer a plate; Corelle used to appear so light and airy, like a teacup party set for kids. I've been surprised in a good way. Their weight is light and they have a solid feel to them. The weight isn't too light, as it might appear in a play teacup party set, but it's just right to give you confidence in your handling. It's taking some getting used to the color accent on the plates. Not for the reasons you might think: the accent lines are textured differently than the plate itself. Your fork meets those lines with a grittiness you can feel while scraping up those last morsels of egg yolk from the plate. You keep asking yourself, "Did I just scrape away some of the paint?" From silky smooth Corelle glass to an unexpected cacophony of texture and friction, your fork transforms. They're fantastic. I gained a lot of storage space in the cabinets, but it does nothing for me other than make it easier to store and retrieve bowls.
Modern design, such as the square format. Small plates are quite large, which is beneficial in terms of increasing the number of larger plates available, but there are times when you just want a small plate. It would be nice if the set included a third size. I like them a lot, but I'm concerned about how hot the plate gets when it comes out of the microwave and when I put hot food on it. It retains a lot of heat and can be dangerous to hold. It's fine if you place it on a table, but we prefer to use it in the living room while holding them. I've had other Corelle plates before and they've never given me the impression that they radiate excessive heat. But, aside from that, the set is fantastic!.
br>br>I ordered two sets of these plates by accident (after reviewing and adding them to my cart on multiple devices). My first instinct was to return a set, but I'm glad I didn't because they've since become the family's primary plates. br>br>They are durable, as advertised, but it was a pleasant surprise to discover how light the plates are, making them easy to handle while serving meals and washing them afterwards.
Some of the items arrived damaged; however, the product is excellent; however, I have received no communication from the company, and they do not respond to requests for replacements; therefore, I will now contact Amazon for assistance. The 800 number listed on their website is useless and will not assist you. Great products, but poor customer service if there is a problem. THEY DO NOT RETURN YOUR CALLS OR ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE CONTACTED THEM AT ALL. Don't hold it against Covid if they don't respond. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTREMELY POOR. They make a good product, but you're on your own if something goes wrong. SAD.
The size is sufficient for a meal, and they fit in the dishwasher much more easily than larger plates. They're neutral, but they've got a little zing to them! They go with almost any blue or solid white serving piece. Any placemats or table covers in a denim color will look great with it.
Corelle dishes have been in my collection for a long time. My original round set, which is approximately 12 years old, is still in my possession. This bowl set is attractive and reasonably priced. One of my bowls broke in my cup board for no apparent reason, which is something I've never experienced before. I don't stack more than 6 dishes on top of each other. This could not have happened for any reason. The back logo is different from all of my other corelle dishes, as others have pointed out. I'm not sure whether or not these bowls are genuine.
I was very careful when cleaning them because the line pattern was not as smooth as I expected and I didn't want to damage it, but I believe that putting them in the dishwasher will not be an issue in the future.
