We were only looking for replacement rice bowls of good quality, so I didn't pay much attention to the 5in size mentioned in the description. The bowls look great - They appear to be of good quality and look great. They're just a little bigger than we expected based on our previous set and typical rice bowls. Again, I'm to blame for not thinking to measure out 5in. It's not a big deal, but if there were four or five of them, it would be. They'd be ideal if they were 5in tall.
Bowls of exceptional beauty and strength. These go great with side salads, cereal, and ice cream. Now I'd like to find some smaller, complementary bowls to go with it. br>12/17/20 Added a photo of "Made in Japan" in response to a question in the Q&A section. A section.
As shown in the picture. I'm in love with my new bowls. They are exactly as described, and they are exactly what I was looking for. They're holding up well, despite being a little thinner than I expected. I've smacked them against the counter a few times, but they haven't chipped. They can be microwaved or put in the dishwasher with no problems.
These lovely bowls were purchased as a Christmas present. Despite the fact that there was a mix-up, up with the delivery, the company's promptness and thoughtfulness in dealing with the problem was such a pleasant surprise; I would highly recommend the company.
The item is exactly as depicted in the photos- You'll get exactly what you see. br>There is a minor issue: At least one of the bowls I received has a rough bottom, so if you slide it across a table, you might get a scratch (as I did). Solution: If you don't want to sand the bottom, don't slide it on anything.
These bowls are exactly what I was looking for: they're not huge, but they're big enough for rice, a soup snack, or just a handful of nuts. So far, they appear to be beautiful and durable. It's no problem for me to clean them in the dishwasher!.
I was looking for a rice bowl that wasn't too small; this is the perfect size for me, and I get to enjoy five different patients with it.
It is very easy to clean up.
