At best, that is ok. In concept, it is a good idea, but in execution it is not so good. The measuring cup would be ideal if it was on a track and able to keep a level position. This measurement can't be consistently taken because it is not on a track. In addition, the stainless part separated very easily from the inner plastic sleeve, but it was not so easy to stay put after correction. In other words, if you're not too concerned with measuring consistently and reliably, and just want something to get you in the ballpark, then this will do. that isn't the case, then you shouldn't purchase this, since you will be disappointed by it.
