Except for the corner damage that resulted in a crack, the item matched the photo exactly. Despite the fact that the top is stainless, the shelf is galvanized, and the legs appear to be chrome, only the top is stainless. Galvanization treatment is missing on the underside of the top on cross braces in some places. When installing the shelf, the hex screw holes are jagged on the inside, scratching the legs. The rust on the cut ends of the legs is due to the steel/ferrite material composition. The polished top surface is likely to be of food-grade quality. There are a lot of dents and dimples, as well as a couple of large 10-inch dents. Deep scratches measuring 12 inches across the entire surface. Welds are mostly commercial grade with no roughness or sharp edges on work surfaces. Foot adjusters are plastic and get the job done, but they're not very well made and on the flimsy side. All of the components are extremely magnetic, indicating that the material has a high iron content and is of lower quality - As a result, the low price of $129 is justified. This table is not intended for outdoor use and will most likely rust within two years, but it should last at least seven years indoors. It would take ten years for rust to become unsustainable. Parts are shipped in a low-grade cardboard box with a slew of "protective" materials, demonstrating a complete lack of understanding of effective packaging techniques. On delivery, the box was damaged. The top dimensions are 24 x 48 inches, with a 34-inch height adjustment to the top of the work surface. Legs have a 3-point center line. At all times, keep 3/4 inch from the top surface's edge. RVKitman was turned down.
The shelf is not made of stainless steel, despite the fact that the entire table is advertised as being made of stainless steel. For that, I deducted a star. This table does not come with any paperwork of any kind. If these are important to you (for food prep and warranty issues), I'd look for a product from a different manufacturer who isn't afraid to post the specifications and back the claims. I'll be putting 250 pounds on this table at times, and I'm not sure if it'll hold up: (br>The table has an NSF sticker, but no NSF engraving - Can we rely on the fact that it was approved for food processing?.
They are an excellent fit for our space. My only gripe is that when you click on the 6' table, you get a table with six legs instead of six. That is why I chose this brand because I thought it would be more durable. Although they only have four legs, they appear to be quite stable. Because there isn't much holding the lower shelf together, it will almost certainly require some modifications. If you put any weight on it, it may slide down your legs. The legs appear to be falsely advertised, hence the three stars. They appear to be good tables in all other respects.
I had hoped for something a little more humble. I got the product I was supposed to get, but it wasn't quite what I had hoped for. br>This is the kind of tough steel you'd (or should) find on a commercial work surface. Although it has adjustable height feet, it feels slightly short for my 6 foot frame when fully adjusted. My requirements, on the other hand, differ from those of others.
Note: You must assemble this incredibly sturdy table/counter. You should enlist the help of a good friend for this, and you will need to work together to install the bottom shelf, which does not simply slide on. You'll be pleased with the quality once you've tried it on.
Because I'd run out of counter space, I ordered the smallest size, a 12x24 table, to house my mixer. The package arrived without instructions, presumably from the fabricator, but with the screws and Allen wrench provided, it was fairly simple to assemble. The issue is that the shelf is supposed to stabilize the legs, but they are only 6 inches apart and the feet are narrow plastic cylinders that turn to adjust the leveling. That means 1) the shelf is only 6" wide, making it ineffective for storage, and 2) the entire structure is shaky due to the narrow base. I'm not sure if turning on that mixer is safe. I'm bracing it against a nearby table, but it would have been a lot better if the feet were just a little wider.
