It has been explained to me that these types of mixers need a separate 15 amp outlet. What do you think?

You may trip a circuit breaker if you share the circuit with anything else that uses a lot of electricity (microwave, etc.). It draws 8 amps, so you should not share the circuit with anything else that uses lots of electricity. When the motor cannot get enough amps, it is also hard on the motor. Thanks a lot!

Can you please tell me how many amps you need for the plug-in?

The unit is 8 amps and has a NEMA 5 enclosure There are 15P plugs and a 120V electrical configuration required for this plug.
