I'm using mine for solids, but I don't think it'll leak if I put liquid in it, and I don't think it'll hold up in the cooler. The top will undoubtedly come off if they are pressed in slightly. I hope this information was useful to you.
The open end is 1"3/4" for a 1oz cup. The cup contains 1. It's possible that 5 oz is a little wider.
Yes. I have 3 of them. 5 sizes with lids, each small enough for a serving of potato salad I think the 4 oz. is a good size. The container, as well as the 5, would be appropriate. A serving size of 5 would be plenty.
I use these to keep everything frozen. I sometimes put three per quart bag into ziplock freezer bags. I put them on a tray and put them in the freezer overnight. I then arranged them in a bread bag in bunches. They're the ideal size for a single serving.

This size/type of container (purchased from a restaurant supply) has been in my possession for years. This is the first and last time I'll ever purchase them through Amazon. The container is flimsy to the point of being dangerous. It's so thin, in fact, that even trying to put the lid on it causes it to collapse and be crushed. I'm not going to send them back because they're not worth it, so I'll probably just throw them away and look for a better product elsewhere.
The covers are nearly impossible to get on these cups, but once they are on, they do not leak. It's nearly impossible, though, to put the cover on without spilling the contents. The lids are just a tad too small for the container. It might be easier to get the cover on if the cup was a little more powerful. These are where I keep my paint. When I first tried to put the cover on, the cup collapsed, spilling the paint all over the place. These containers are of poor quality, and I am dissatisfied with them. Maybe I'll be able to find a use for them that doesn't require the cover.
These are what I pack for my kids' school lunches. I had been sending my son to school with raw vegetables (carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes, etc. ) and single-serving dips. Ranch and peanut butter become prohibitively expensive in this manner ($0. 75 to $1. I bought these and filled them myself (50 per single-serving dip package). I would highly recommend them because of the significant cost difference. The only drawback is that I had to tape them shut when they were filled with ranch because they would pop open in his lunchbox, but you can't expect 5th graders to be cautious all of the time; otherwise, they would get 5 stars. I'm going to get some more.
My daughter's tea party would have been incomplete without these. Gold Fish crackers, grapes, and blueberries were among the items I used them for. One of the cups was slightly defective, with the bottom being extremely thin and making a crinkly noise, as if the bottom of the cup had not been made with enough plastic. But, aside from that, they served their purpose, and I will buy them again if I need more cups with lids.
When I went to portion out the Macadamia nuts, I discovered that the 2 oz. For a 1 oz. cup, it was sufficient. 100 calories per ounce of nuts, versus 4 oz. 2 oz. necessitated the use of cups. Nuts (200 calories) in a serving size I used a small scale to ensure that everything was properly weighed.

I mostly use them to pack lunches. I make instant pudding and portion it out in reasonable amounts. They're also great for dipping apples or making sauces with peanut butter in lunches. They're also useful for storing things like pushpins, paper clips, and other office supplies. I'm very pleased with how well they fit.
These are used for daily medications that are prepared two weeks in advance, and they are simple to use and attractive. They make it simple to set up pill trays. br>I'll buy these again because I don't think they'll last indefinitely. br>Last night, I wrote the first part of the review. So I went back to buy some more this evening, but the item had increased in price from $7 to $8. A $15 offer is being made at a ratio of 90 to one. This strikes me as odd, and I'm not going to buy them at that price. br>The product, however, is excellent. Not so much at the new price.
