Yes, I purchased and used these for my daughter's birthday celebration, and they splinter and break. Nobody should buy these, in my opinion. The video quality is poor and potentially hazardous. They are thin, flimsy, and poorly shaped, and they break when used. BUYING IS A MISTAKE. I'm not going to buy any more of these.
'Made in China' is written on them.

I bought this on a whim because I had recently moved across the country and needed something quick. I needed something that would be ready for me when I arrived at my house. After using them, I realized I should have just used regular disposable plastic utensils. After a few minutes of use, the spoon became flat, especially when used in hot soup or tea. The fork functioned more like the worst spork, and even then, I've found that plastic sporks are easier to pick up things with. My food also has a woody flavor from the utensils, which is very unpleasant. This product has dissatisfied me greatly, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
I purchased these based on the positive reviews and star ratings, but they do not live up to the hype. The knives may be able to cut soft butter, but that's all they're good for. They're too small to use, and the fork didn't pierce my fried egg. I just got these, and I'm going back to the clear plastic variety today.
I own a beach restaurant, and this product is a small part of my effort to reduce ocean pollution. br>Excellent product, excellent customer feedback. It is inexpensive and simple to use. Simply take action.
They're fine; the forks aren't particularly sharp, but they stab through most materials. I don't use the spoons for soup because they aren't very deep. Although the knife isn't particularly sharp, if you saw things back and forth a few times - It usually gets the job done. I'm not a huge fan of the flavor or texture. Before food and saliva get on the utensil - It has a woody flavor and feel to it. (I know- Wasn't that what I was hoping for? After you've put it in your mouth a couple of times, it gets a little better.
We were looking for something different, and these fit the bill. The complaint that these utensils aren't "sharp" enough for certain foods is valid. I would argue, however, that plastic or wooden utensils were never meant for steaks in the first place. I've used them for salads, chicken, vegetables, and fruits, and they've always provided enough "sharpness" for me to enjoy my meal. So, while you should consider your meals, I strongly recommend this product and encourage everyone to make a difference to help the environment. br>br>Warning to the manufacturer - It would be preferable if the packaging was not made of plastic. Perhaps cardboard and bamboo ties?.
I'm reminded of tongue depressors in the doctor's office when I use these spoons, but that doesn't bother me. I'm at ease knowing that I can still use a spoon quickly and dispose of it without contributing to the growing piles of plastic waste that are destroying our planet.
Because I refuse to buy single-use items, I appreciate that these are compostable. Any type of plasticware can be used. They were paired with palm leaf plates, which are also compostable. The fork tubes aren't sharp enough, and the cuts aren't deep enough. I'll probably look for something else next time because I have plenty left over, but I won't need to for a while because the knives and spoons were fine. Green partyware is the way to go, even if it isn't perfect.
I first purchased this set in June 2018, and I recently ordered it again. When I forget to bring my regular spoon or fork to work, these are ideal. I also make these available to anyone in the office who requires them. They can withstand a variety of meals, but they will sag if the food is extremely hot. Although they are wooden spoons, which is to be expected, I feel much better about using them than I do with plastic spoons. The knife isn't particularly sharp, so you won't be able to easily cut tough meat with it, but you'll get by if you use it properly. br>br>Overall, I adore these environmentally friendly wooden spoons and would strongly recommend them. Sure, there are some disadvantages to hot soup and other things, but nothing is perfect.
