In short, yes. 2inch Pipe thread, also called hose thread, is usually found on air conditioners and hoses
A garden hose cannot be connected to this device. A garden hose has a much smaller diameter than the opening, which is 2".
Fingerlings cannot fit in those slots due to their length and width. If the fingerlings are old enough and of a suitable size, they can pass. A fish can live in the slot if it is of good size.

I'm really happy. It seems to be made of a very durable material. Processes that encourage good manufacturing Basically does what it is supposed to do without excess material around the edges or cut-outs. I would buy this again if I needed it for another.
In order to replace the existing fitting covering the intake pipe in my pond, I had been seeking something just like this for quite some time. Compared to what I saw locally, the item was half the price. There are only a few openings located throughout the pump, so I have to continually cover it with a mesh net of smaller size and change it frequently in order to prevent debris from getting inside In my small pond, it serves the purpose, but it would be great to have larger holes to make it more maintenance free.
My thoughts are few and far between. This is a sturdy and should keep debris out while permitting a decent amount of flow.
The idea was born as I was building our new Royal Blue Riverbanker (highbanker) for Placer Mining and wanted to come up with a more simple and less expensive channel to buy pump intake hose for the 2" pump. During my recent trip to Loew's, I found a 2" sump pump check valve A rubber hose sleeve connected by a stainless hose clamp was mounted at both ends of the check valve in 00. A close-up of the uphill side of the check valve with the hose connected directly to my intake line. The downhill sleeve from the check valve was then removed. To fit the strainer to the check valve for a perfect fit, I then glued the 2" opening directly to the check valve with Black ABS cement. Whenever you are dredging or highbanking with foot valves, it is highly recommended that you cover the entire strainer with a thin screen to ensure that all bits of trash do not enter The setup for you is easy to use and will save you some money instead of buying expensive units from the likes of From Royal Blue River Moss, "It's Just a Better Gold Getter", we wish you a prosperous and safe Gold Season in 2011! It fits perfectly and is much less expensive than the original.
I love the product and the price is great.
Everything seems to be working fine. For my pond, I use it on a siphon pipe. The slide was attached to a check valve by means of a short piece of PVC, with which it was screwed into. I have done it so far without any problems.
This product works and fits as described.
