Questions & Answers

It states that the paper is able to stop particles of a medium size. According to my scale, "medium" is not available. Please provide us with a number in the case of a quote. Are they nanometers?

The rating is for approximately 11 um which is not indicative of a set pore size since this is qualitative filter paper.

There is no white residue or flakes left behind when they are removed. ?

By using the filter, I was able to remove particles from compost and DI Water. There were no residues left on the filters at all.

Can they be used inside of granular activated carbon (GAC) water filters? In my case, I want the water to flow through but leave the gac ?

The activated carbon is typically contained inside baggies or pouches in filtration systems. Carbon could be filtered by it, but you need some kind of structure or seal around it so granules will not surround the filter.

Do they have a sterile appearance?

This is not the case, according to me

My science fair project requires the purchase of this item. I don't know much about good vs. evil. Although the filter paper was low-quality, it still got the job done.

Can you tell me what medium filter paper is? I had to let the filter go through 10mls of liquid for nearly 48 hours since the grain of the filter paper is much smaller than medium

The only meds you need to be clean are those from the filter

It's great to have these filters as they prevent any junk from entering your session that you don't want. You can use other filters, but these alone do the trick. The best filter for the job.
