It's better to buy from a brand that has a proven track record. The paper you have in front of you is not chromatography paper of any kind. Compared to the texture of the paper, it feels like low-quality printer paper or You can find it in almost any grocery store, but the results are not to be found in When the kids were at home I purchased a pack of Whatman Grade 1 chromatography paper for the home science course. Whenever those are gone, I'll be buying these as opposed to those since they were less expensive. Even when run with the exact same methods of solvent and dye, the chromatograms based on this paper run about 3x slower than those of Whatman. Moreover, the spots tend to spread much more frequently becoming nothing more than It is really difficult to fold the paper correctly when you remove the chromatography and dry it. As I sorted through the pack, I found that the strips were cut very irregularly. My kids school project is now going behind schedule while we wait for some better quality materials from another supplier. I am really annoyed as we had to wait over a week for this to arrive.
As part of a science curriculum, it is used for chromotography of ink. The price of the papers was much higher than larger papers that might just have to be cut to size, but I needed them quickly and these shipped by.
This is what I got for my son for doing some chromatography and it has been a fun experience learning composition of different inks so far.
These strips were used by our church to teach students about chromatography as part of its after school STEM program. In order to find out which materials go into making inks, food coloring, and dry erase markers, we used these strips of tape. There were a lot of laughs and a lot of learning to be done.
This is what I use with my homeschooler for science experiments. A very good job is done by them.
Demos are good.
My daughter will be able to do practical experiments for her final exams thanks to this.
This was a great value for money tool that worked perfectly.
