Questions & Answers

Is this regulator suitable for use with a paint spray gun?

Yes, it would work for paint spraying, but be sure to use a moisture filter as well. Filtration and pressure regulation are two of its functions.

I require a regulator that can deliver a maximum pressure of 40 psi. Is this the case with this regulator?

Yes, if your air compressor can keep up with the demand.

Is this a good piece of equipment? I'm having a lot of issues with my regs leaking. I buy them in hardware stores around here. ?

My hose is leaking, but I've had enough time to figure out whether it's the unit or the hose.

What is the length and width of the filter housing from the center of the input to the bottom? To remove the filter housing, how much space is required?

It also controls pressure and filters water and particles, releasing clean air and allowing you to set your desired pressure.

It's working perfectly
5/5

I didn't want to spend $80 on an Iwata regulator/water separator, so I decided to give this one a shot. I installed the included pressure gauge and two 1/4 inch NPT nipples using the included thread sealing tape. My hose lines were connected to the air compressor, and I was ready to go. So far, the regulator has performed admirably. While I airbrush, it maintains a constant pressure. I've tested it for airbrushing at pressures ranging from 10 to 35 psi with no problems, and I left the airbrush connected overnight with a full air tank and returned the next morning with only a few pounds lost, which is pretty good considering all the connectors and adapters I used. I had intended to use the regulator with my Iwata airbrush holder/spray out jar, but I'd have to make a custom mounting bracket. Instead, I simply added four Neodymium magnets to the existing bracket. Apply a drop of super glue to each magnet before gluing it to the mounting bracket. Now I can use the regulator with my Iwata airbrush holder or anywhere else (as long as it's metal). I used four magnets on one small note. I believe that was an excessive number. It sticks "too well," and I have to yank it off with all my might. However, that regulator will not fail. Someone recently inquired about how I set up my air hoses - As a result, here's the solution. It all began when I purchased a Ryobi 18v battery-powered air compressor. It is not too loud, has a 1 gallon tank, is compact, uses an 18 volt one battery (which I have several of), each battery lasts for about 7 hours of continuous airbrushing, allows me to be mobile (no 110v electric outlet is required), and was only $99. In addition, I use the compressor for a variety of household tasks. br>br>A standard quick disconnect (Type 15 Industrial Interchange - Ryobi) is included with the Ryobi compressor. the most common type used by everyone). As a result, I wanted to be able to attach my air brush to the Industrial Interchange quick disconnect. I decided to just use the two Iwata hoses that I already had (1/4 NPT on one end and 1/8 BSP on the other). The 1/4 NPT female braided hose was mated with an Industrial Interchange quick disconnect with male threads (there was no need for thread sealant because the hose had an o-ring). seal with a ring The female 1/8 BSP on the other end is connected to an Iwata quick disconnect, and the 1/4 NPT double male (included with the regulator) is installed in the regulator inlet. There's also a 1/4 NPT to Badger airbrush male adapter on there (because I had one lying around). After that, I attached a Badger quick disconnect male plug. A 1/4 NPT double male is included on the outlet side. I used a standard Iwata airhose to connect it to the compressor. All done. By the way, because I used the Airbrush quick disconnect on the tank side of the regulator, I can simply disconnect the hose or the regulator and the air flow will be shut off. br>br>I hope this review has been of assistance to you. Steve.

It's all garbage! When I first pressurized this regulator bowl, it blew away
3/5

When it blew, I had Teflon tape over the threads. I re-pressurized after removing the Teflon tape. Instead of reaching the 125-pound limit, my 30-gallon tank could only reach 75 pounds. The threads in the bowl were leaking a lot of air. The third time I removed the bowl, I examined it more closely and discovered that the bowl is crooked with the main body! br>Avoid buying Chinese junk! br>It appears to be a squander! br>Dissatisfied - based on their claims to be high-quality goods On the contrary, I am a first-time buyer who will be the last! br>Please note that the images displayed are not cross-threaded! This is the end result of a manufactured product!br>Do not purchase! UPDATED! br>br> br>To compensate for the defective regulator, the Tailonz staff offered to send another or replace it with something else. br>It's very thoughtful of you to compensate with something else. br>I'm sorry, but I've changed my mind and will give it another shot! br>Thank you, and I'll buy from you again if I need something similar!.

It works well, is reasonably priced, and the compressor is operational
5/5

The price was reasonable, and the product itself was of good quality. Some of the reviews raised some concerns, but as with many negative Amazon reviews, the product is fine, but the buyers are unsure of the product's actual purpose or are unsure of how to use it. In general, people should make sure the product they buy is intended to function in their desired use; a lot of negative reviews are frustrated people who bought something that was never designed to do what they want it to do, and a lot of positive reviews are satisfied people who bought something that was never designed to do what they want it to My two cents is to ask before you buy because there are some really nice people on here who will gladly assist you.

There are leaks from the collector drain that you can't tape or seal
3/5

There is a major flaw in the design. By unseating a rubber o-ring on the water collector drain barb, a check valve pulls the hose barb partially into the collector under vacuum. Between the barb and the collector, there is a ring. The barb is supposed to be pushed down and seal the collector when it is under pressure. When put under pressure, it does not seal. The air leak is often audible, and it happens quickly. br>br> I tried using an automotive vacuum cap to cover the cooler's drain barb shoulder - it didn't work. The cap popped like a balloon because it couldn't withstand the leaking air pressure. The leak is impossible to stop because of the drain's design. This is the first time I've ever had a separator leak air like this. br>br>I bought this because it has an all-metal body. The inexplicable leak, on the other hand, makes it incredibly inconvenient to use. Avoid.
