Questions & Answers
I recently purchased two (2) 1 lb. Each box contained 35 screws, which I counted.
There were 400 of the very short 3/4" drywall screws that I purchased.
It's the Amazon website. It's probably the same as it's always been.
I got 35

OMG. For me, this was a complete disaster. I needed to go to Home Depot for a framing project and didn't want to go during COVID. So I place an order for these. The following day, they arrive on time. Great! br>br>I couldn't get a single one of these screws through a 2x4 in the first place. Either the screw was stripped or my bit was messed up. EACH AND EVERY TIME. So I just ordered a new bit set after these messed up a few of my Phillips heads. They'd also screw all the way through. br>br> As a result, I'm having to buy other things in order to remove a bunch of stripped screws from 2x4s. br>br>Dear God, I hope everything goes well. These, on the other hand, were a waste of time for me.
. And, in case you're curious, the drill I was carrying was Black. The drill was a Decker (not the best), and the bits were Dewalt (usually a good brand). However, until these screws, I've never had trouble getting screws through 2x4s.
There are about 40 in each box of head screws. These screws were precisely what I required for the construction of a dining room table. Initially, I tried to buy screws of this size at my local big box home improvement store, but they not only didn't have this length, but a box of screws was over $30. Fortunately for me, Amazon had the perfect size, price, and delivery time of two days.

It almost seems to break itself. br>br>To get the screw all the way in on the first try, you'll need a lot of pressure and a fast speed. br>If you make a mistake, the bit will immediately drill into the head, rendering it useless. It becomes impossible to get the screw in or out after that. Breaking it off, on the other hand, is a piece of cake. br>br>The main problem is softness. Because of this, the head can be drilled round too easily, and because a lot of pressure is required, this is likely to happen unless you can stand directly above it. br>br>If drilling at a 90-degree angle is possible, do so. If you apply pressure at a 45-degree angle, the screw will go all the way in with a squeaking noise and provide good support, but I wouldn't rely on them to support a lot of weight. br>br>2 Stars, because this 45-minute movie is of such high quality. It would be more equitable to divide the pieces into 50 pieces.
I needed a longer screw for a project, so I ordered this 6" screw. This length screw was not available in any of my local hardware stores, let alone big box stores. It worked out perfectly; the heads did not strip out even after a lot of drilling. I received a total of 34 screws, which corresponds to the answers given to the previous questions. The end result was satisfactory.
If you try to screw these screws in by hand, you will get all kinds of cramps, but if you use a cordless drill, they will go in quickly. br>I had some rickety chairs, so I used these screws to fix them. To avoid splitting the wood, it's a good idea to pre-drill the holes you'll be using these screws in. For mounting seats, this is not a good idea (screws are too long).
They are extremely durable and offer excellent value. I only wish they were available in a 1 pound or larger package.
I was able to complete the task with the help of this person. These worked great with plastic insulation washers to support 4" insulation board. Some customers complained that they couldn't screw through two 2x4s because the screws weren't designed for wall framing.
