I used these to install new lights on my utility trailer and about a quarter of the screws I used broke. Even after pre-drilling the holes, the threads were stripped or the head was completely broken off. I took longer than I should have to drill out the broken screws. Save yourself the trouble and invest in some high-quality screws, or risk wasting a lot of time trying to extract the broken screws.
I usually use the standard steel ones because they adhere to the magnet better. If at all possible, I would choose stainless steel for everything. The best of both worlds has arrived. They're supposed to be stainless, but they'll only work with a magnetic nut driver. The self- It's a nice bonus to have the drilling tip. It would be ideal if the head had a torx head, as the other screw slots are essentially useless. I throw away screws that come with hardware (usually Phillips, which should be banned) unless I absolutely need them.
It's difficult to beat the price. As previously stated, stainless steel fastening hardware is more brittle than standard mild or Grade 5/Grade 8 fastening hardware. What exactly does that imply? A 2" screw is unlikely to self-tighten. 2" of steel should be tapped. They're completely self-contained. DRILLING screws, which are not the same as self-drilling screws Screws are being tapped. I was worried at first that the drill spade was too large for the screw. However, I was able to obtain several e-mail addresses. I wish they came in a self-contained unit because they would fit right into the steel walls of a trailer. rather than a self-tapping version Version with drilling. br>br>Because the washers are more rigid, they're ideal for trailer use because they have just enough oomph to keep metal on metal rattling at bay. In either case, if you're near a bulk fastener distributor, I'd go there first; if you're far out in the desert, like I am at times, it's probably best to just order these.
I try not to leave negative reviews because I understand that we're all trying to make ends meet in various ways, including through Amazon businesses and products. These self-tapping screws, on the other hand, broke on me five times in various sizes. One of the applications was accepted.
I'm not sure how well they'll hold up in heavy-duty applications, but they worked great for my needs; the variety of sizes was helpful, and they've held up to light metal and plastic work. It's worth noting that these are driven with a 5/16" nut driver.
I needed a variety of SS self-defense self-defense self-defense self-defense self-defense self-defense self screws are being drilled I looked in local home modeling stores, but there was no such thing as an assorted set. These screws did exactly what they were supposed to do. The thread and drill tips had been machined to perfection. Metal pipes are not a problem to install.
They're of poor quality, and they easily strip out and break off! I had to use some used screws because I was working with light gauge sheet metal.
