Questions & Answers
These are wood screws with a self-tapping feature. I would suggest using a different type of screw if this gentleman wants to use a nut.
I did some research and discovered that the most common angle is 82 degrees. The metric value is 90. The "most common" Remer number is 82. There are a few more, as well. You could measure the angle by tracing it on a piece of paper.
Yes, all of the screws in this category have full threads, and the length of the screw includes the head.

They stripped out while screwing in two pieces of pine fence because the heads are soft. I bought these for lighter-duty projects, so it's not a big deal, and they were less expensive than eBay or McMaster Carr.
This length of four screws was unavailable at any building supply, hardware store, or big box store in the county. I only needed three and had to buy 100, but after spending hours on the road, these were far less expensive than the gas and time I had spent. br>Could I use any other screw? I really want to be able to. There was no way I could use anything else because these were the exact size I needed. br>Finding these on the internet and being able to obtain them was a LIFESAVER. br>What am I going to do with this? LED lighting is installed under the cabinet. Each one is about the size of a hockey puck.
I used galvanized hinges on a wood gate I built last year. The screws were not galvanized, as one might expect, and instead rusted. These were purchased to replace the steel ones that had previously been used. They appear to be in excellent condition, so that's one less thing to be concerned about.
Even with full depth pilot holes drilled, heads snap off with unusual ease.
However, if you use the right bit and take your time, they can be very effective.
Lol. I used these to attach inner and outer window fuzzies on a 1955 Chevy Wagon, and they worked great. During use, neither the heads nor the screw stripped! I used a 3/32 pilot hole and it worked perfectly!.
Good quality at a reasonable price If driving into harder or more dense wood, a pilot hole should be drilled first, as with any stainless steel screw.
They were successful in their mission. Arrived on time and in good condition.
