Using annealed copper rivets and 40 psi from a compressor, this air hammer performed admirably. It's solid, with no play in the tool-holding mechanism. The spring clamp that holds the die in place requires some patience, but that is true of all spring clamps. The bucking bars that come with it can be used in a variety of ways.
To do sheet metal repairs on my Airstream RV, I bought a good rivet tool set.
I only needed the back rivet set, which was not included in the kit. I added a tungsten bucking bar to my setup and can say I am 100% satisfied with it. The AN426AD3, AD4, and 470 series of the same diameter are what I'm mostly driving.
The majority of the tools required to perform impact rivets are included in the kit, but not the 1/4 inch impact riveting tool.
A must-have for riveting projects, this kit is fantastic.
This is the first time I've used an impact driver to install rivets. Solid aluminum and stainless steel semi-rigids are used to drive solid aluminum and semi-rig tubular. It's fantastic. It's crucial to keep the bucking bar under pressure.
