Questions & Answers

Do you think these will hold a storage compartment latch in place on an atv's fender faring?

I don't see why not; these are the only things I'm going to use to secure things to plastics now.

Even though it has an o ring, can water still leak through the river's eye?

After one season, I haven't had any issues with leaking. In Colorado, I used a kayak on rivers and cold water lakes. I've used it both above and below the water line on a kayak.

Why give a perfect score when nothing is perfect? br>Because they're simple to operate, have a King Kong grip, and can be used for a variety of tasks. br>Used to attach latches that hold down the front storage compartment on my Polaris ATV faring. br>It took me about 10 minutes to remove the old rivets and replace them with these. br>Because these were 3/16 larger and wider than the factory 5/32, I simply reamed a drill bit through the metal latch holes and it fit perfectly.

It did exactly what it said it would do

Instead of the screws that come standard, I needed more rivets to secure the fender flares to my RV, as the screws loosen and fall out, resulting in numerous flat tires. These rivets serve their purpose admirably.

It is not waterproof or marine grade

When someone orders marine rivets, it means there will be water involved, and if light can be seen coming through and around the rivet, I would say it is NOT WATER PROOF! To demonstrate the issues, I used a red and green light.

The awning is ideal for RVs

These were purchased to replace the bolts that held our legless RV awning to the side of our vehicle. The bolts that had previously held the aening in place had loosened, but these were simple to install and are holding the aening in place. I've also got a lot of extras.

Kayak customization is available

It's ideal for customizing a kayak by adding accessories. At the rivet, there were no problems with sealing or leaking. Strong and long-lasting. I'm going to urcase once more.
