No, I can't really answer that. It is possible that the threads will work sometimes. But perhaps not since the metric unit is metric, while they are both SAEs.

It's not a good material for t nuts

They strip easily and cross thread easily, which results in the bolt and the whole structure ripping up the plywood sheet on which it's mounted. Those made of bulk steel are much more reliable than the ones made of tin.

You will have a large hole on the bottom of the wooden table if you frequently take bolts in and out with this product. The nut will lose its grip and you will end up with a broken piece of Threaded inserts are 100% better and more effective than any other type.
