RC cars have plastic threads and I use these to strip the threads off. Once I drill it out to fit, I'm going to put one of these prongs on the back. If I need to cut the prongs off, I'll do that. Spending $15 or less is saved It costs $30 on some of the parts and with metal threads, it holds up better to repeated removals.
Great. I use them all the time. If you prefer to hammer in the mount, you will need a 3/16ths drill bit to prepare the hole on center. Then you will hammer in the mount with very little effort.
