It's not really a big deal. 3/4" to 1" It indicates a hole diameter of 1/4 inch with 20 threads per inch, making it more of a medium-thread.

It was recommended that I use these as wasteboards for my Shapeoko CNC by several YouTubers and Facebook groups. They went on easily, but make sure you place the board on something that will hold it down so they don't come out while you are hammering in the rest. However, they work great, and I can attach a variety of clamps using them. Please make sure that you purchase.
The bolt measures 1/4 inch in diameter and has a 20-tooth The threads do not catch or snag. As you hammered the spikes into MDF, none of them bent over.
