I use them on my oxygen propane torch and they work fine. Some torches have them built in, but this is the regulator side, so they will work quite well. I'm a glass blower, and they are the only ones I use.
Pressurization is used to pressurize both the fuel and the oxygen. It is possible for the cutting tip to get clogged for whatever reason, causing the fuel to drip back down the oxygen hose and all the way into It is this that causes In an oxygen/fuel mixture, the flashback arrestors act as giant check valves that prevent the mixture from reaching one of the tanks. The safety issues related to flash back arrestors dictate that they are used almost exclusively in commercial work.
Your hose is designed to be fitted with the set on the regulator side. suppose that the real question would be if the check valves are part of the torch body or if they are an add-on. It is also worth noting that Hot Max carries another set for the torch side of the hose that might be better suited for your torch if you plan to install them. However, you can leave the torch as-is if all you plan on doing is installing these on the regulator. The length of my hose is only 12', so for now I am content to run my torch just as it is with flashback protection on my valves.
There is definitely a spring loaded check valve since you cannot blow air through in reverse. I have not dismantled them and it may have brass wool inside but I'd expect they would have brass wool. The Smith's jeweler's torch is what I use to use them.

The Acetylene arrestor leaked really badly. My leaks were found and I'm happy I checked. As I was trying to remove my oxygen hose from the oxygen arrestor, the whole threaded nipple came out of the arrestor! I only snugged the hose onto the oxygen arrestor, but when removing it the whole thing fell apart! As I removed it from the hose end of my hose, I used channel locks to secure it. It was a little doubtful for me to try them, because they looked old. It would be a shame if this company reshipped returned product. These arrestors are too critical and potentially dangerous to play around with. It is time to return In general, 11- Replaced the arrestors with the new ones. There was a leak in the oxygen arrestor and they were worse physically! That arrestor was too dangerous to even touch, so I didn't even open the Acetylene bottle to look inside. This is highly dangerous and a waste of time!.
problem I had was that I tightened the connector too tight, so when I removed the connector all the inside components came out instead of just the connector as long as you don't over tighten them, they should work fine. Additionally, to avoid the gas pressure being reduced by an arrestor, make sure you use a little more pressure.
Made of high quality brass and fully machinable. I like the way they look and how they are fabricated. This set of valves is made in China, but they work great with a bench test. I replaced an old set of Victors with these.
I noticed the stickers on the piece were old, and that the brass sleeves going over it had metal chips on them.
I had a hard time tightening it because the threads were not properly cut. It isn't something I would purchase Spending a little more money on quality ones is a good idea. The old ones were thrown away after I removed them.
Oxygen pressure is double the Acetylene pressure, 15 psi. (Acetylene pressure about 7 psi.
I love it.
The hope is they work. If they don't, I will update you. Nothing wrong with the look, but it appears cheap.
