In the insert, at one end there is a tapered outer dia of Its diameter at one end is 5mm and its diameter at the other end is 11mm. A 2 mm gap. Drill a hole with 9, then turn it upside down and drill another hole. Using a 5 mm (3/8") drill, drill a hole to the depth of 10 mm, and then drill it again with a 11 mm (7/16") drill. Take your time.

This is a terrific product! I inserted these (easy) into HDPE plastic and they allowed me to securely screw parts.
Make sure you are careful when installing these or you can damage them. I'm very happy with their performance once installed!.
We bought these for some harbour freight casters and they ripped out of the wood even after using Despite being well-installed, it couldn't support the weight. If the artwork is medium to heavy in size, then longer inserts would be recommended.
This product was of excellent quality, worked perfectly, and was available in a metric size (10mm) that is hard to find.
After I finally received my delivery on Tuesday, I was disappointed that it looked as though it had been delivered on Sunday however, it only took me a moment to install once it arrived. The next time I come across metric casters, I will check for the E-mapping There is a product called Z-Lok to make this right.

It's my first time reviewing this item and I'm not satisfied with the metal because of its poor quality. In case you turn too hard and do not take care when installing the metal, it may As a rule of thumb, they are great for furniture that needs to be reassembled or disassembled.
