I probably would have been able to make this work with a smaller gauge if I had ordered it. This article was of reasonable length and appears to be of high quality. My memory fades and I can't remember if it came in a range of gauge Maybe I ordered it in a larger diameter than must have been necessary or I either missed it or I ordered too large a diameter.
