The bag of broken nails that I received was full of broken This item was shipped in an unpadded paper envelope with a 2 pound paper box. How could things possibly A cheap packaging job made by lazy people. Recommendation not possible.
It is NOT galvanized, otherwise fine. IT IS NOT GALVANIZED. There is a warning on the box that this product should not be used outdoors. The only place to be is inside. It sometimes happens that Amazon drops the ball when it comes to product changes. The terminology in this part number has been changed by DeWalt (perhaps The product description makes it indicate that the battery cannot be used outdoors due to a lack of battery power. The stainless steel I used instead is SS stainless steel. It is possible for me to use these nails for There are many good things to say about Dewalt.
We used them to install drywall that came already wallpapered in a beige pattern, and we did not want the drywall screws to show through. My Bostich finish nailer worked great with the DeWalt 16 ga nails, and there were only very small indentations in the wallpaper, which you could not notice if you were Baseboard, crown molding, and window trim were also installed with shorter 18 ga nails.
Despite the good product, the packaging was substandard. The original box was torn and the lid was completely separated from the box. I used a few, but there are many more. I had the same problem as the other reviewers, the box was completely broken apart and the nails fell out at the same time. It is almost In cases where they survived, the nails worked as a 16g finish nail was supposed to. Amazon is not a good place to buy them from.
The only thing I use these for is tacking together the project until the glue dries, and/or until I can screw them in permanently or attach them to some other hardware. Thus, they should last me quite some time.
There was a lot of disappointment on my part. There were two Dewalt cordless DCN662 finish nailers that had these jamming before lining up with the hammer head. In light of the fact that they were from the same company, you would expect that the quality control would be We have now installed Porter Cable finishing nails and the nailer is performing as expected. It may just be a bad batch that I got, I now know that.
