First of all, the product would normally work well in a 2" finishing nailer, which I have tested. Even for the start and end of a row of hardwood flooring, it can be used to put down moulding. As a result of poor planning by either the nail dispenser or the manufacturer, I took away a star for the product. When the nail holder comes open in shipping, the nails bounce around and scatter over the package, which breaks the nails apart and often leaves holes in it. I got only the holder in the first package, not the nails. This caused me to miss out on the functionality. The second package was sent to me, and I got most of the nails, but they were scattered throughout the package. However, the hole was smaller in the second package, so I looked forward to having most of them. A simple solution is to staple the top of the top together so the part that opens does not fly open when it opens. The tape could also be used to close it. While they are still dealing with this packaging/shipping issue, I recommend you get this closer to home if possible versus ordering online.
The quality of the product is good. My baseboards needed to be attached to a new floor so I used this for that. If you decide to use nail guns, make sure they match the size of the nails. This gun will handle nails up to two inches long and be in the 16GA, 18GA, etc. class. I did not experience any misfires or misbehavior during the dozens of nails I drove Several sets of nails can be put in at once, and it continues to feed.
Despite their best efforts, they did not nail it. Using Amazon as the fulfillment center, we are delivering this item for the second time. I received the first shipment with the same issue and it came in the box with other Brads and Nails ordered. In other words, it seems the fulfillment center employee thought it was a terrific idea to place it on this envelope more appropriate for an item like a book or clothing. As a result, my nail strips have been broken, and I have received another shipment that was packaged incorrectly in order to protect the integrity of the products.
We are also happy with the performance of the 18 gauge dewalts in our Bostitch guns. Usually I use the bostitch brand, but it's good to have a backup on hand.
These nails are what I used for doorway trim installation. I was pleased with the outcome.
Resulted in success!.
The shipment was prompt, the package was well packaged, and I had no misfires or jams during installation. This was the cats a$$, lol. Since I knew I was going to put this fence up using individual pickets, I recently purchased a bostitch air tank and air guns. It was easy to install these fence posts that were very sturdy in the end and they drove all the way into the ground and locked securely without any issues.
I've tried this with my old Bostitch nailer and it works well.
