Questions & Answers
I was asked by Amazon if I could respond to this question. However, it's a question that's a bit of a 'not applicable' situation. Wood screws typically have a coarse thread and a pointed tip, allowing them to penetrate directly with the point without the need for pre-drilling. The spacing of the coarse threads is due to the wood fibers not being small enough to keep fine threads in place (you don't normally tap threads into wood, especially at this small scale, because they would pull out/strip - Threads will not be retained by wood). As a result, thread pitch isn't listed on wood screws. The following is a description of the items in question (M6-). 0 x 12/16/20/25/30mm) indicates that they are threaded and should be used with a threaded hole or nut. They're metric threads ('M'), with a 6mm thread diameter and a one thread per milliliter ('1.') thread pitch. 0'), and threaded shaft lengths of 12/16/20/25/30mm are available. In response to your query - Yes, you can use them with any material you want, but don't expect the threads to hold in materials that aren't threaded normally; You'd have to do some planning ahead of time. They are ideal for automotive applications where they are expected to go into a nut, threaded metal part, or clip by drilling holes through those materials and securing the bolt with a nut on the other side. br>br>The hex heads have flanges (a small skirt around the base of the hex head) that act as a washer to distribute the load; otherwise, the sharp hex head corners would dig into the wood the more you tightened them (into a nut on the other side), and the heads would eventually disappear into the wood, out of reach of your wrench/socket. You could also use a regular, non-electric washer. flanged screw, but the flanges come with a 'built-in' washer ($) or, at the very least, a wider, non-flanged washer. Around the base of the hex heads, there is a sharp area. Flanges, on the other hand, do not allow for the same amount of spin as washers. The flanges dig in a little, and some are even textured to bite into the material (which is why you should be cautious-- on the hex side of the flange, while rotating a nut with a washer on the opposite side). br>br>[Pardon me if I went too far here, but more information is better for a general audience where some people have no idea what they're talking about.]
Yes, the head is 10mm in diameter and the flange is 14mm in diameter.
Of course, there are Course Threads.

I repair my older ATVs and motorcycles, and I've found that ordering the bolts I need saves me a lot of money over buying only dealer bolts, which are usually several dollars each and take a long time to arrive. Each bolt I use almost pays for the entire bolt kit, especially when you factor in the trips to the dealer.
For the price, it's a great deal. It's a lot easier than going to the hardware store and looking for and selecting individual bolts.
There are far too many small bolts in this picture. However, it works well and has a good grip for hand tightening.
It was difficult to replace a broken head bolt and find the proper length. This kit included everything I needed, as well as extras that I could use on other projects.
ALL of these are used in the Evo 8. At least three times.
This is a fantastic set, and it is made of stainless steel.
High-quality product.
What else can you say about bolts besides that they are exactly what they claim to be?.
