It's a good idea to invest in a hanger bolt driver (which costs under $6) if you have more than one or two. You can attach it to the end and turn it using a wrench or into a drill chuck. You then reverse the drill to unscrew the driver from the machine screw end, once you've attached the wood screw end into your pilot hole. Check that As the hanger bolt, 18), the bolt is used.
Using a pilot hole that is the right diameter, drill a hole in the wooden component. A depth at least equal to that of the wood screw threaded portion of the hanger bolt. A little (solid) parafin may be applied to the wood screw threads. x 12 screws into the bottom of the base board Stack 18 hex nuts onto the machine threaded end of the hanger bolt. The threads on the bolt should pass completely through both nuts and about two threads on Two wrenches should be used to jam the two nuts together. You can screw it into the wood as far as you want to using one wrench on the outer nut. To work with socket wrenches, ratchets are the best a box-style wrench is an excellent alternative A channel lock or pipe wrench may also work, but may damage the flats of the nut. A right-end wrench is a second choice and an open-end wrench is a third. To remove the bolts, use the two wrenches to unbolt Jam the two nuts and remove them from the bolt, and you are done.
It has a standard course thread of 5/16". There is a nut that will fit the bolt of 3/8"
Three inches is what they call it. Though I am no longer at the location where it is installed, I believe it was 3 inches wide. A threaded (machine end) diameter of 1.25 inches might be a good estimate.

I'm satisfied with the quality and price. It costs half what you would pay at big box stores or hardware stores for one bolt. I appreciate the quick delivery as well! Not included are hex nuts, but if you make stuff in your shop you should have a lot of nuts and washers in a coffee can Do you need things you don't need? Why should you pay for them?.

This product was purchased to use with the corner mounting brackets. Only the bolts and nuts are provided, the washers and nuts have to be acquired on your own. It's great that this bolt is ample long, which is a particular characteristic I enjoy. To get them to fit properly, I had to cut off 1/4 inch from We should be happy about that. If they are too short, I would rather have them long.

The fact that the shipping and handling was not clear until it was too late to cancel the order as I am a prime member. In and of itself, the product worked well, as they do at Home Depot but after adding tax and shipping, it was a lot more expensive The following letters are added to H. It is my hope that I do not repeat the same mistake.

I got what I paid for. You can drive it in by locking two nuts onto it at the end and using a regular socket wrench to do so. I suggest you don't buy a bolt driver and if you do, be aware that the one I bought stripped the.

One of the bolts in my pack is stripped, but I did not require the entire pack.

This is actually a pretty expensive product for what you are getting.
