The number 4" is incorrect

According to my expectations, the shaft is 4 inches long. Two inches was all it was. A 2" shaft alone would have been a complete waste of money, so I worked out another way to get what I wanted instead. Could it be that adding the eye part of the bolt to the overall length is standard practice? I don't see how that makes any sense.

The first order I placed for 3/8" x 4" was doubled to 1/4" x 2"

As a result, Amazon is asking me to send back I hereby place an order 51. The order is too short for my needs, and it was a first project. First, nobody bothered to send back the wrong first item - and now you want me to send back the wrong second item. Amazon will be less of an option for me in the future since this will affect my purchasing decisions.
