Please accept this as my sincere apology.
I ordered this 25-piece pack of bolts since I needed sixteen. My bolts had bad threads at about the same place on the shaft, all seven of them. On the four others, I was able to back the nut out and use a tapping die to reinstall it Ensure that the thread is properly threaded. The other nine did not show any bad threads. I believe these were the only two that worked. It would be helpful if I uploaded a photo of the area where the bolts jammed, which shows all or almost There was no indication as to whether this was a manufacturing issue or a shipping issue. It appeared that they were tightly packed in a box, so I assume that this is a manufacturing issue.
In the case of bolts and nuts, the nuts would not go all the way down the shank without stopping. The bolt broke off while I was trying to remove the nut. With an 8" handle, I was holding a standard ratchet wrench. During the installation process, I encountered this issue with 4 of the 12 bolts I was trying to secure. I used several nuts to test my theory. All but one of the nuts would not screw on more than 3/4 inches on many Since I was under a time constraint, I used a die cutter to resolve the problem. I rethreaded the bolts once the issue was resolved. We only used this as a temporary measure. It was shocking that a 5/16" bolt could snap off so easily. Therefore, I will have to purchase a new set of bolts and replace these since I am not confident they will not crack Many of the bolts will not work if you do not have a tap and die set.
My application seems to be well suited to the well-made, clean threads.
It was super fast to ship and exactly what we needed for our project and at a better price than in a.
Buying from a hardware store is expensive but you can get good materials for a lot less.
The carriage bolt is of good quality and works well.
