In 34 years of using stainless hardware, none of the bolts have ever been as bad as the ones I have used
Nope, and once you put nuts on them, you don't take them off, either. I would never buy these again since they put 25% lead in with stainless steel.

On our redwood RV gates, we bought these stainless carriage bolts to replace the original black steel bolts that were "powder coated". Fast forward a couple of weeks and the wood had stained and fallen prey to rust. With these new bolts, refinishing the redwood will be easy and will ensure the bolts stay rust-free for a long time. Take a look at these before and after pictures. You can buy similar stainless carriage bolts at Ace or Home Deep for cheaper, but if you need SIXTY SIX like we did, it will break your budget. I live 100 yards away from the ocean and everything else corroded so fast. Stainless steel is a must buy for me. Good to see they were available on Amazon.
An eight-foot trailer measuring 5' X 8' was recently purchased for me. In order to move my belongings from a storage facility, I purchased this trailer. Seeing that the trailer sides were too low, we knew that something needed to be done. In addition to plywood extensions, carriage bolts were used to attach the angle iron sides. What I liked about it is the dome shaped head and the non-rusting quality. There were no issues with the bolts.

Good value for the price. As a whole, they look good from an aesthetic perspective because the threads are well formed and the heads are smooth. While you could buff and polish the heads if you want them to have a shiny appearance, I didn't do that since these are for utility use only.
I got these bolts at a much better price than I could have found at the big box store. With my saws, I use these to slot pieces for sliding and in holes to hold removable jigs.
