Questions & Answers

A purchase of 5/8" bolts was made. The bit used was 5/8" long. The hole was cleaned out. The inch was hammered into place with a I halted. I went 2 inches and then stopped using a 2 lb hammer. What do you mean by 5/8 bit?

As I understand your question, you drilled a 5/8" hole for a bolt, so if you are using an anchor, you will need to drill a larger hole Drill a test hole to determine if the drill is accurate. You should be able to use the anchor if the hole fits snugly into it.

This bolt will work perfectly for basement floors

They're very strong compared to what I expected. Getting them in is the easy part keeping them out is the difficult part. These seem to be a good fit for bolting something to my basement floor because I need to secure something to the floor.

The installation is more difficult on the shields than on the WEB, you must go to their web site to learn how to install them

Apparently, the inspector hadn't liked my description and said that these inferior anchors could not be used. The use of a cellular phone at work was not allowed.
