I believe it would work well in a metal door, but the head's diameter may be too large for the chain lock's door-attaching part.
Yes, but with a caveat. On a mower deck, there are numerous curved surfaces. If you're having trouble getting these fasteners to drill / locate exactly where you want them, make an indentation with a prick punch and hammer. drill (drill diameter should be the same as or slightly smaller than the fastener tip).
You can grind them down if they stick out.
To be sure, yes. The threads are also 1/4 inch long, as is the tap.

Within a few days of the fence being put up, she bent the METAL bars of our privacy fence (that was installed specifically to keep her in the yard). Needless to say, I needed a new solution, so I bought a big roll of heavy-duty paper. heavy-duty pet-proof door screening, as well as these screws to secure the screen to the fence's bars, so she can't get her head through to widen the gaps. br>br>These screws were perfect for the job and kept the mesh screen from ripping. The self- The tapping function worked exactly as it should have: Even in fairly sturdy hollow metal posts, pilot holes were not required. They've tightened up nicely and appear to be doing an excellent job. I was relieved to discover that none of the screws had stripped or broken. I ended up buying two more bags so I could treat the other side of my fence with the same treatment for a double layer of screen protection - in case anything goes wrong br>br>I would recommend this for similar applications because it is gentle enough to anchor more fragile/flexible materials down while also being strong enough to bite into metal without the use of pilot holes.
digits of negatives, digits of negatives, negatives, negatives, negative I purchased these screws to use in a metal barn to hang LED light fixtures. Every screw broke, either while I was screwing them in or when the hanging light fixture dangling from the ceiling shattered them. In all my 30 years of electrical work, I've never seen anything like it! Please do not purchase!.
These were purchased to mount pegboard to a modular metal frame shelving system that can also be used to construct a work bench. They drilled in without difficulty, though my cordless drill took about 30 seconds to bite through the sheet metal. For this job, I needed 18 of them, and none of them were stripped.
I used these to replace the fiberglass filon (delamination) in the front cap of my RV. Sheet metal made of aluminum in the size of 040. There was no stripping or breaking as they self-tapped quickly and smoothly. I'm going to order some more just in case!.
It's a good product at a good price. If your drill gets a little off center, some of the phillips slots will tear out. Best for soft, thin metals; I'd upgrade if I were using stainless steel or harder metals. However, it's perfect for my thin aluminum sheeting project. I'd buy it again.
A large diameter head metal screw or a metal screw with washer was required. I was relieved to discover that these Truss headed metal screws were available in the diameter and length that I required. I didn't have to purchase screws or washers because of this.
Everything is fine; your standard self-drill truss head performs admirably on metal studs and other materials.
If they had come in a reusable package, I would have given it five stars.
