These terminals aren't functioning properly. After crimping the wires, they pull right out. The Titan 11477 crimping tool is what I'm using. On 10 gauge and 16 gauge wire, I tried all three sizes of terminals, but crimps didn't work. With a small amount of force, the wire rattled around inside the crimped terminal and was pulled out. Even fully tightening my crimping tool did not solve the problem. They're heading back to Amazon. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I went to the hardware store and purchased some crimp terminals manufactured in Illinois (by Servalite). The Illinois terminals are far superior. The crimping metal is a lot thicker than the wire. Actually, the terminal has thicker metal in every part of it. They're also a lot heavier in Illinois. (The ring terminals in Illinois are also wider. ) look at the image- The yellow 1/4" one has a much wider plate to accommodate a screw with the same size hole. Better conductivity should result as a result of this. ) And the ones in Illinois are in good working order. Even when I pull very hard after crimping, they stay on the wire. br>br>See the difference in the photo. The center is dominated by nilight terminals. The Illinois terminals are located on the outside of the building.
Unless it's for hobbies, it's far too frail to be useful. br>When crimped properly, they distort to the point where you can't secure a male to female connection. br>The assortment comes in a handy little plastic box, but the compartment separations are so loose and flimsy that removing a connector also removes the spacer. br>Look for a different location and inquire about the material gauge.
Metal that is very light in weight. 50 of bullet female connectors are unusable due to the insulation covers being very hard and protruding over the connector end. br>The spade connectors are in the same condition.
To connect your bare wires to your project pieces, there are a variety of sizes and types of terminals available. The crimps, on the other hand, are a waste of time. I've found that crimping them as hard as I can and then pushing solder into them is the only way to make them secure. I suppose the price should be a good indicator of quality in this case. They appear to work fine once they've been securely crimped and soldered.
The connectors in this kit come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Based on my previous requirements, the kit contains all of the connectors I will require in the near future. Each connector type has a sufficient number of connectors. The set is packaged in a sturdy plastic box. It was a fantastic election that was well worth the money.
Overall, not bad; the metal is a little thin but appears to be strong and durable enough; these are not tin-plated copper connectors, so extra heat will be required if soldering and crimping for extra durability. Double male connectors, which are ideal for wiring DPDT switches, were included in this set.
THESE CONNECTORS ARE VERY CHEAP AND TINY, AND ONCE CRIMPED, THEY WILL NOT HOLD THE WIRE SECURELY, ALLOWING IT TO COME LOOSE. THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS, AS WELL AS REQUIRING RE-INSTALLATION. WORK.
Metal that is too thin to handle the required current is folded over on itself to appear, at first glance, to be the same thickness as an Ideal brand connector, but it is not. I would not recommend this product. Returned.
