This is a great tool if you are looking to make a hardware device that plugs into the USB port (or something that does not) and needs to be connected to a lot of sensors, inputs, lights or what have you. There are a lot of features packed into something so small. A USB port integrated into the microcontroller is a great feature. After the header pins are soldered on, it will fit right in a breadboard. The Teensyduino app from pjrc worked straight out of the box. Teensyduino is a small tool that runs without any installation or bloatware, so it works well for hex loading and coding.

It's perfect for reading and writing EEPROMs. I'm amazed at how small this thing is and how powerful it is! In terms of EEPROM writing, it was great. It was easy to access the connection points without damaging the board, making it a great option for a beginner who is not great with soldering. Since I am not great with soldering to begin with, I found this to be a great advantage.
