Although it looks a little janky, this is a good way to store them since there will never be a cluttered mess. Many of the sockets have already been used in a few projects and have worked flawlessly! The collection of sizes and types of the sockets make this kit probably the best IC socket kit on Amazon as it is sure to meet any project requirement. There may be times when you are short on some types, but you can combine more than one to fit your prototyping board or your breadboard. For instance, you may need a 12 pin but you are out of This kit will be a great addition to your component.

Make sure the sockets you buy are quality

It is easy to bend the metal connectors since they are thin. It is highly likely you will end up pushing them out of the socket when they are not perfectly aligned. It is very difficult to install them because of this. As soon as they're soldered, they work. Just make sure to keep them away from heat sources.
