It appears to be the only piece of cloth that hasn't been ruined. IEC AC-braided On Amazon, it's mains cable, so I'd give it an A in that category. However, I had to deduct a star because the odor when you take it out of the bag is incredible. If you've ever stuck your nose in a bottle of Lagavulin or Laphroaig whiskey, or any other Islay whiskey, you'll recognize it as phenolic. If you aren't a whiskey connoisseur, the best I can offer you is failed electronics, also known as "the magic smoke. " To promote outgassing, I literally left the cable out in the sun for the entire day. It's a little better, but it still stinks up the place. I would advise against purchasing it because of this, but there are no other cloth braid IEC options.
This power cable was purchased for use with my guitar pedalboard, where having your cables stand out helps prevent different people's cables from becoming mixed up during stage pickup. This is a one-of-a-kind cable. I've never seen a braided IEC power cable before, and it matches my braided audio cables perfectly. Even if there are a lot of cables, I'll be able to find my cable easily every time. br>br>The end connectors are made of a hard plastic, which is my only criticism. While it doesn't appear to degrade the quality or increase the likelihood of the cable breaking, it's just odd because every other power cable I've ever handled has been made of hard rubber.
