Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
A 6 pin PCIe to 8 pin PCIe adapter connects a PCIe video card with an 8 pin PCIe connection to a power supply with only 6 pin PCIe power connections; make sure your power supply is capable of powering the video graphics card.
The PSU upgrade 6 pin to 8 pin adapter cable allows you to connect a power supply for GPU power that does not have an 8 pin PCIe connection.
For GPU cards that require more power, an 8 pin to 6 pin PCIe adapter cable is a convenient solution for supplying video graphics card power with an 8 pin connector.
An 8 pin male PSU PCIe connector with a latch and a female 6 pin PSU PCIe connector with keyed rails for a secure connection on both ends to prevent accidental disconnections
Compatible with graphics cards from popular manufacturers such as Gigabyte, Radeon, and Sapphire that have 8 pin PCIe connectors.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to divide an 8-pin connector into four separate pins? For my CPU, I require a four-pin connector. I'm using an 8-pin and a 24-pin connector. But I'll need another four-pin connector if my computer isn't going to work. ?

No, the 8-pin connector does not detach. This is a six-pin to eight-pin converter adapter. The 6 pin connector is for females, while the 8 pin connector is for males. I'd look for a molex to 4pin or sata to 4pin adapter if I were you.

Is this compatible with a nvidia gtx 1070 g1 graphics card?

I used it with a 1080ti and it worked perfectly.

This may appear to be a silly question, but which one is the male and female merely confirming?

Female has the receptacles for the pins to be inserted into, while male has the pins sticking out (though there is usually a plastic housing around them). (exactly as you might expect).

Is it possible to connect the 8pin male end of this adapter to my psu's 8 pin slot and the 6pin female end of this adapter to my psu's 6pin cable (for sata hdd)?

This cable, however, is intended to be used in the opposite direction. This cable connects the 6-point connector to the 6-point connector on the 6-point connector on Connect your power supply's pin cable to the 8-pin connector on the 8-pin connector on the 8-pin connector on A 6-pin connector on a video card is not used by a SATA hard drive. a cable with pins It comes with a flat cable labeled 'SATA.'

As long as you understand the limitations, this is a good solution
5/5

If you have a power supply that only has a 6-volt output, you can use it. pin PCI- e connector, as well as an 8-bit graphics card. The adapter will allow you to PHYSICALLY connect your power supply to your graphics card. Keep in mind that a 6-pin connector is not compatible with a 6-pin connector. The pin cable is for providing up to an additional 75W to the card, and using this adapter will not magically raise the limit to that of an actual 8-pin connector. 150W would be added if you used a pin cable. br>br>To figure out which graphics card to use, you must first figure out how much power can be drawn over the PCI-Express bus. e slot in which your graphics card is plugged in (typically 75W, but less for some small form factor PCs), as well as the maximum power your power supply can deliver. As a result, you must conduct research and double-check the specifications. You can safely use this adapter with an appropriate graphics card if you understand these constraints and use software like MSI Afterburner to limit the peak power consumption of a GPU. br>br>In my case, I am using this adapter for an EVGA GTX 1660 TI (8-core) graphics card. pin PCI- e connector) to an HP Z240 Tower workstation with a 400W 80 platinum rated power supply (6-pin connector) pin PCI- e. g. , a connector or a cable). I'd like to keep the GPU's power draw under 150W (75W over the 6-cell battery) for the Z240. pin PCI- e from the 75W PSU to the PCI- e slot). The EVGA card's spec claims a power draw of up to 160W (overclocked compared to reference Nvidia). So I use MSI Afterburner to power limit the GPU at 90% in order to kept the max power draw to 150W.

When your power supply doesn't have the appropriate connector, this is a good alternative
5/5

I've been using these to power my 1080Ti graphics card and have had no problems so far. I have a HP Z420 Workstation in which I installed a 1080Ti GPU. My factory-supplied power supply only has two PCI slots. My 1080Ti has a pair of 8-pin connectors, whereas the E has six. I used this to make the connection, and it appears to be working fine; my PSU is 600W, so I have plenty of power, and my card runs at 190-200 MHz. It should be able to pull 75 watts through the PCI-E connector at 250 watts. I used my 16x spot and my 6 pins for the rest. If I have any problems, I will update my review, but for the time being, I am very pleased.

It was exactly what I was looking for
5/5

These 6- 8 pin adapters were exactly what I needed, plus a little more! I only required one, but at this price, I was able to purchase two! As a result, I now have a spare GPU for when my family's computer needs another GPU. br>This adapter was used in a more recent model (Core i5-based). HP Pavilion (model 8500) is a desktop computer manufactured by HP. There was only one PCIE cable on the included power supply, and it was 6-foot long. pin. This adapter plug was added so that I could install a GTX 1660 Super. Everything appears to be in order. Nothing is on fire, and everything appears to be in working order.

I got a new graphics card and was about to plug it in when I realized I didn't have another 8-pin connector
5/5

To plug it in, you'll need a pin connection! I had two six-pin connectors and was looking for a converter when I came across these. I ordered them, and they arrived two days later. Ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, ping, I proceeded to connect the other adapter to the other six-pin connector. I had a pin because I didn't want to lose it if I ever needed it. Before converting your connectors, double-check that your power supply has enough juice to run your device.

Cable Matters appears to produce decent adapters in this category for a reasonable price
5/5

Between these and the SATA-compatible hard drives, there's a lot to choose from. PCIe adapters, I've got a "jank setup" that would make many system builders faint. br>br>However, I've put these to the test using a digital multimeter as well as extended use under sustained power delivery. They've held up well over months of use, and under a digital thermometer, there's little to no heating. br>br>If you're familiar with the PCIe 6-bit standard, pin vs 8- The 8-pin and the 4-pin have the same number of power pins. Only two ground pins are added to the pin connector, one of which can be used as a sense pin. Electrically, this type of adapter should be fine, and GPU manufacturers have even included them in the past in-box. box.

It does exactly what it says on the tin
5/5

It did exactly what I needed it to do. My power supply had enough wattage for my video card upgrade, but I only had two 6 pin connectors from my previous video card; I plugged one of these into one of the 6 pins, and the video card powered up immediately. At the time of writing, there were no issues.

(RTX 2060 Super) 6 Pin to 8 Pin PCIe Adapter This worked flawlessly to convert the power connector from Dell's 6 pins to the 8 pins required by my EVGA RTX 2060 Super
5/5

The quality was excellent; all of the jacks and plugs within the connector were centered, and when both ends were connected, they "felt right. " br>br>Make sure your power supply can handle the current your new card requires; If that's the case, this adaptor cable will perform as expected.

My older system was revitalized as a result of this
5/5

I'm using an HP Z800 workstation that's been around for a while. It includes graphics card power supplies with 3x3, 6 pin connectors. br>br>I recently purchased a new graphics card, which significantly improves the Z800's capabilities. However,. br>br> To power the new card, you'll need a 4x4, 8-pin power adapter. br>br>This adapter saved my system and it works great! br>br>I wholeheartedly endorse it.
