It is manufactured in China (as is almost everything nowadays). It says it's a "high-speed" cable on the package, but it doesn't say if it's HDCP compatible, so I'm guessing it isn't.
Yes, it should work, and there should be no signal loss in theory. However, don't fiddle with the connectors too much or they'll break. This type of daisy chaining has caused me to break a lot of adapters.
This cable DOES support digital audio IF (and only IF) your graphics card supports it AND you connect the DVI-I connector to the DVI-I connector. The D connector connects to the GPU, while the HDMI connector connects to a TV or monitor that can receive audio through HDMI. Right now, I'm doing exactly that with an old GeForce 680 card, and the audio is coming through quite nicely, thank you. In fact, most monitors will not source digital audio from a DVI connector, so the reverse configuration is less likely to work.

He connected his PS4 to his PC monitor, allowing him to switch between the two without having to get out of his chair. It's working as expected; he goes to work, eats, and then returns to his room for PC/PS4 time (he does come out to talk, but less than usual).
If your laptop lacks an HDMI out port, you'll need to purchase an adapter, which in my case was a ThunderBolt to HDMI adapter. br>br>I've had no problems with it in over four months. I'm pretty sure this will work on any PC or Chromebook with an HDMI out port. br>br>I like the nylon braid cord because it appears to be very strong and durable, and you can bend and wrap it around without damaging it. br>br>6 feet should be more than enough for most setups. Because my monitor is right next to the laptop (as you can see in the photo), I only needed about a foot long cable, so I just wrapped the cables around with velcro, but the extra 6 feet length might come in handy if I decide to rearrange my laptop and monitor in the future. It is safer to have a longer length rather than a shorter length. br>br>BOTTOM LINE: br>br>I highly recommend this cable for connecting your laptop to a DVI monitor via HDMI out port; you can do the same with a MacBook, but make sure it has HDMI out port or you'll need to buy an HDMI adapter. br>5 stars out of 5! I hope you found it informative. Please use the helpful button below if this was the case. Thank you very much!.
I'm very pleased with this adapter because it is of excellent quality. You'll almost certainly need one of these to connect your newer laptop to an (older) monitor with a DVI input. You keep trying to plug USB devices into the laptop's HDMI port, but they don't fit. DVI is no longer available on newer monitors, so make sure you know what you need before ordering. If you set your computer's display to "extend," you'll get twice the workspace. It's a huge help!.
5/5. These are excellent cables. The cable wrapping is excellent, firm enough to organize while still allowing for flexibility in routing. There isn't much more to say about it. At least as far as I can tell, the connector ends mate perfectly with their respective corresponding connectors, and there are no signal issues. br>br>This is my gripe. I was aware that the connector casing was made of aluminum when I made my purchase. The problem is that aluminum is conductive, and while I was aware of this at the time of purchase, I mistakenly believed that aluminum would be a more durable connector than plastic. Now that I've had some time to reflect on it, I'm not so sure. While this should be a rare occurrence, I'm concerned about the potential for damage to connected equipment if anything providing power comes into contact with the aluminum. Perhaps an aluminum core with a rubberized coating or something similar would be preferable. Electrically, I'm not sure how isolated that casing is, so it's a mystery. br>br>However, I would strongly recommend these cables. My concerns are not common, but they are rare at best, so I felt compelled to share my thoughts and experiences.
It's a good cord, but it's tough to bend or wrap into tight spaces. It will work fine if your connection points are far enough apart that you have about a 6" radius of space to curve the cord in, but in tighter areas, it may feel as if the wires inside will crack if you bend it too much.
If you're in a hurry and need a cable to change a setting, DO NOT USE THIS!.
The quality, style, sturdiness, packaging, and delivery time have all surpassed my expectations. This cable is of exceptional quality. Within a few days of placing the order, it arrived - I've attached a photo of the cable as soon as it was taken out of the box: Thick plastic was used to vacuum seal the cable - a pleasant surprise I had to go into display settings and extend desktop to external monitor after connecting the cable from the laptop, and I must say that the monitor's acuity/resolution has vastly improved: I had no idea the monitor could get this high of a resolution. br>Now I need to check all of my other monitors to see if they will accept this cable. I might even buy more just to look at and admire them. br>I highly recommend this product; however, before you choose the quantity, double-check how many you'll actually need so you can order them all at once. However, the product does not come close to being represented in the image I've attached.
This cable is strong and durable, and it saved me from having to buy an adapter and then figure out how to support it and the cable. This cable has the required HDMI end, which connects directly to my motherboard and fits perfectly. It's a perfect snug fit, and I don't have to use any kind of plastic ties to support the cable like I had to with the adapter. Because of the strength and durability of these cables, I will be replacing my remaining video cable with more of these. I've discovered that the HDMI Cable end of some cables isn't as tight as it should be, and I've had to support the cables with plastic ties as a result of their looseness. However, if I decide to use plastic ties this time, it will be for cable management and appearance rather than a loose fit.
